A Yaozhou water dropper was presented in perfect condition. The glaze condition was very good except some incursions had been happened to the rim of the venting hole and the beak-like mouth. Amusingly found at the bottom, there were three padding clays were still adhered without being removed. It was really rare to find an ancient porcelain ware which was solely for scholar use. A similar piece but from Longquan site was documented...

Sold in our Liverpool shop - August 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年8月 A large dish or plate painted in typical early 18th Century "Famille Rose" enamels and decorated with flowering peony shrubs and a chrysanthemum.This item was made in China, for export to Europe, during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735).
Condition - extensively damaged - it has been broken into many pieces and has old rivetted ("stapled") and infilled repairs but could be a good study or display piece.31cm (12inches) diameter

Price on Request A rare finely carved cylindrical bamboo incense box depicting Scholars amongst rocks and pine trees in a mountain landscape. This item was made in China in the late Qing period - the characters carved into the top read "Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" which translates as "Made in the Guangxu reign Qing dynasty" (1875-1908). Condition - one 2cm age related crack at the top - otherwise excellent with no damages or losses and no repairs or restoration. 22.7cm (8.8inches) high...
