An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century (Ming) Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later , in the 19th Century, probably during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. A rare thinly potted and extremely well painted deep dish with exceptionally fine porcelain body. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Jiajing emperor (1522-1566) enclosed within a double circle but this item was probably made later, in the 16th/17th Century, during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition: there is production glaze loss (fritting) to the rim but no cracks or damages and no restoration...

Description:

A black-glazed Jianyang Temmoko tea bowl was in nice form.
It was decorated in the covetto and partial of the outer surface with charming and rarely-seen oil spots.
The body clay was revealed at the foot ring in dry and grayish tint which was caused during long periods of burial.

An antique Chinese Beijing or Peking Glass belt hook. The belt hook contains motifs of Chinese lions and a mystical beast standing on top of the hook. The unique aspect of this piece is where the glass color is emulating white jade. Age: 18th century. Size: height 1.25" width 1.1" length 5.5"

Blue Chinese fencai vase with a french blue background with four various landscape views painted within the circular medallion sections of the vase. The vase contains a maker's mark on the bottom which reads: Guangzhen Gongxi xingzao. Age: 20th century. Size: height 14.5" diameter 5.25"

A Chinese box of grey celadon jade and rectangular shape with rounded corners. The body is very thinly carved , resembling the Mughal manner and the cover is delicately incised with a bird in a tree. Elegant in its simplicity and precision, it typifies the 18 C. lapidary art on small jade objects. Age: 18 C. size: 2 7/10 inches x 1 7/10 inches x 3/5 inch high when closed. ( 6.6 cm x 4.5 cm x 1.5cm high when closed.

Jade carving of a bat spreading its wings on one side and on another side a coin shaped motif. Bats are considered to be an auspicious animal where the name is synonymous to fortune in Chinese. The coin contains a four character engraving possibly reading: Fu Shou Quan Shuang, or roughly translated as having both fortune and longevity.
