This pair of Chinese lotus shoes were made by a woman of limited finances. She bought what materials were needed for the vamp and supplemented with the use of rough home spun fabric scraps to cover the shaped heals and soles. The limited amount of expensive gold couching threads outlining the floral embroidery pattern on each side of the shoes indicates that this pair of lotus shoes would have used only for special occasions...

LIAO Dynasty Terracotta Buddhist Votive Plaque/Amulet, China, AD. 907-1125, with very fine details. Nicely mounted on wooden base. Originates from a group of varied tablets sizes that were excavated, most likely from the foundations of an ancient Buddhist temple, placed there to ensure success and prosperity. Chinese blue and white porcelain Incense Burner or censer, made in later part of 1800's to early 1900's' 3 3/8" high, 7 1/4" diameter, various style of bands in underglaze blue, unglazed area inside half way down to the bottom. Black ink writings on the bottom under the thick white glaze round dot, about 3/4" wide. No damage or restoration.

The groups of Yao minority live in in both China and Thailand. This necklace is of low grade silver which was typical of the Chinese jewelry around the late 1800's and early 1900's. The necklace is light weight and comfortable to wear.

A traditional blue and white peony design Chinese porcelain wine pot with original lid. The pot measures about 6" high x 3" in diameter and 7" wide, and dates to the mid 18th Century, . Song Dynasty brown glaze jarlet with four ears. There is no damage other than the glaze degradation due to age. Cavities near base occured during time of its making. Dimensions: 3.5 inches high and 3.5 inches diameter at widest.

Bottom outside is unglazed with some black script. The condition is good, no damage.
