Agata cup of a beautiful yellow and amber color. Decorated in hight relief of Chilong, Lingzhi and Fenghuang (dragon, mushrooms and Phoenix) with highly symbolic value, in fact the male principle chilong and the female fenghuang should signify a marriage, the presence of immortal Lingzhi making the union eternal. The artist used a part of the stone which is different, naturally spotted and cracked to cut the Chilong which is thus subtly spotted like a leopard...

A small Chinese agate carving of a tiger and her cub set on a wooden stand with motif of bamboo carved along with jagged rocks. The combination of bamboo and tigers in Chinese art can be seen as early as the Ming dynasty. The tiger, often represented as the king of the earth combined with bamboo a symbol of the mind of a literati, can be seen as the ideals of the individual. Two boxes with 18 black and gold decorated moulded ink sticks showing the 18 Lohans. Boxes 29x20 cm. All sticks in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. Undated, estimated to be early 20th century. Can be seen in central London and shipped worldwide.

Chinese Antique Tomb Pottery Fat Lady with hollow body, modeled with upswept hairdo and pursed lips. Standing with right hand upheld. White slip on terra-cotta body. Old restorations. Tang Dynasty (618-917 AD). Size: 14" High x 4" Width x 4" Depth. Provenance from a NY Collector.

Archaic Chinese bronze bowl with rounded sides and flared rim. Cast with a ring foot. The outer body of the bowl is cast with two bands of repeating patterns interrupted by two handles, one one each side. The handles are taotie masks with loose rings. Beautiful green patination and mineral deposits.

Han Dynasty (206 BC to AD 220)

Ancient Chinese Archaic Era bronze dou, footed vessel used to contain food. This traditionally dou vessel consists of two pieces. The larger piece is a circular bowl supported on a stem which gradually tapers downward and outward to form a round foot. And the lid which is a shallower round bowl on a shorter stem which is inverted and snugly fitted over the bottom bowl. Two ring handles are attached to the rim of the lower bowl on either side...

Chinese archaic pottery figure of a calling camel on a solid base, made from red clay. The statue has a great, incredibly detailed form. The inside body of the camel is hollow and within it you can see finger imprints from the original artist. In wonderful, original condition. Tang Dynasty dates from AD 618-907. Size: 22" H

A nice group of Ming miniature glazed food tomb items for taking into the next world. During the Shang Dynasty all the actual pieces were used and have been replaced with pottery figures from the original size to this size. Sizes: See photos. Condition: Very good.
