$650.00 Korean porcelain celadon vase with black lacquer and MOP overlay. The condition of the porcelain is perfect, but the lacquer is not, some small pieces of mother of pearl are missing and some touch up paint around a section of the shoulder is evident. Still a very desirable vase that will display well. Measurements are 7 inches tall by 3 1/4 inches at the widest.

Sold A Korean blue and white porcelain water dropper. Cube form with bracket feet on the four corners, a spout along the top edge on one side, and a whole (for displacement) near center top. Painterly floral decoration within line border on the sides. Geometric flower head decoration on the top. Stable cracks, a couple surface chips, and loss to the spout. All dimensions about 2 1/4 inches (5.715 cm) except for the height which is about 2 1/8 inches (5.39 cm). Joseon dynasty.

The bodhisattvas are adorned with elaborate accessories often seen in images of bodhisattvas. The Buddha, is wearing a red garment painted with medallion like patterns to make the cloth appear like brocades. Age: 20th century. Size: height 111.5" width 54.5"

SOLD A fairly large Korean style Buddhist painting portraying the image of the Water Moon Avalokitesvara or Suwol Gwaneum in Korean. The Avalokitesvara is dressed in vestments and accessories common to the figure of a Bodhisattva and has the water vessel which offers blessings to all sentient beings. The bodhisattva is attended by a boy figure known as shan nanzi who often seen in pictorial and textual depictions in East Asian Buddhism. Age: 20th century. Size: height 105.5" width 53"

Sold A religious temple painting of a yellow buddha surrounded by 10 deity attendants. Seated atop a lotus throne, the buddha makes a gesture of reassurance, abbaya mudra, with his right hand, and a gesture of liberality with his left hand, varada mudra. There is an inset inscription on the left. Chosun Dynasty 17th/18th century. It measures 50" wide by 54" tall by 2.5" deep. Incense marks throughout. Previously featured in the 2008 Arts of Pacific Asia show.

Sale Pending Korean Buncheong ware bowl decorated with four medallions of flowers impressed in the center surrounded by a rope like pattern. The outer side of the bowl is decorated with an incised diagonal stripe pattern. Buncheong is a style where the clay is impressed with a design while still soft, then filled in with a white slip, and then coated with a clear glaze.
