Japanese pair of small cloisonné vases with mirrored motifs of flowers against a robin's egg blue enamel ground. The rim and the foot are lined in rhodium with green enamel interior. Each vase on a wood display stand, with Kiri wood tomobako. Dates from early 20th century.

Japanese antique box constructed of Kiri (paulownia) wood with original dark red lacquer finish. The top iron handle may be used to carry the box, and it also opens the top shallow compartment for safely keeping calligraphy papers. Below, the main body of the box holds two long drawers originally used for ink stones, brushes, and other scholar's implements.

Antique Japanese tansu from the Sado Island area, with extensive hand-forged iron hardware plating incised with dedicative Seven Lucky Gods motifs. The 2 section Isho tansu has an all Kiri wood exterior with Sugi sides and top exterior. The chest is composed of 7 drawers in an unusual configuration, with 2 keys. Four(4) Japanese Wooden Straw Mat or Tatami Mat Weaving Weights, Ca. 1930, 6 1/4" long, 1 1/2" diameter for various wood were used, and tied with Straw Rope, one(1) replaced with modern white Nylon rope, used for weaving for many years. The condition is worn and warm rounded patina on wood.

Vintage Japanese watercolor painting by Fukutaro Terauchi (1891-?) depicting a village scene with figures walking under parasols in the snow. Signed at the lower right. Likely dates from the 1950s. Executed on slightly textured watercolor paper measuring about 11 3/4" x 8 1/8." Very good overall condition. There is a narrow strip of old tape residue at the top back and there are a few pencil notations on the back.

Japanese kappazuri (stencil) print by the artist Yoshitoshi Mori depicting a scene with many figures, a group of samurai warriors on horseback and other figures wheeling provisions on a cart. The scene is printed in black with blue and light cream color details. Signed and dated 1972 in pencil. Number 17 of 50 in the series. Framed and with non-glare glass.
