Antique Japanese hirado ware white vase with base. The vase is a beautiful white color. The simple shape is accented with dragon shaped handles on either side. The work is done by the kiln of Kanzan Denshichi (1821-1890). Kanzan was trained in Koto ware in Shiga by the order of Ii Naosuke. Later in 1871 Kanzan establishes an imperial kiln producing table ware for the Imperial Household. An antique Japanese kuruma tansu coming from the Mikuni region. The tansu is fitted with iron fittings to retain the condition of the tansu and to protect the vulnerable areas of the chest. Antique Japanese hanging silk scroll from the 19th century, Meiji 1868-1912. There is a beautiful scene of a courtesan and pair of Kamuro order, attendants, walking under a blossoming cherry blossom tree. The screen is signed by Koryusai with seal. It measures 18.25" wide by 24.5" long.

This handled American coin silver cup was made by William K. Vanderslice in San Francisco, CA, circa 1870, consisting of a simple tapered cylindrical form with rope banding around rim and base.
