SOLD Chinese gilt lacquer wall carving, hand carved with whimsical scenes of court people. A gentleman is seen riding on the back of a Qilin while his advisor follows. One lady peeks her head from the window beside another lady arranging flowers. A small child is also shown arranging flowers. Possible a fragment from a bed. Dates from 18th/19th century.
Size: 8" x 8" Seated on a lotus throne, guarded by two attendants. On the back of the stand there is an inscription : This is a statue (or carving) or Kwanyin, for Mr. Wang (??)'s wife, Mrs. Chao (??).
2nd day, 4th month Daoguang 10th year (1830 A.D.).
Condition: usual age wear, loss of gilding, the ribbon from the crown at the right side is missing. H. 23 cm.

$950.00 This glass inside painting snuff bottle is 3 1/4" high, 2" wide and 7/8” thick. The bottle has a dark agate cap. The snuff bottle is dated 1997. The artist’s name is Yu Shi. Yu Shi's original name is Zhang Yu-Xiao. He was born in 1979 in Hebei province. He enjoys painting Buddha, Guan-Yin, Bodhidharma and other Buddhist figures. One side of the snuff bottle is the image of Daruma (達磨) and the other side is Budai or Hotai (布袋和尚). It is in great condition.
Chinese Glass Mandarin Hat Finial converted to lamp Finial, wrapped around with silver and gold color leafy shape band which is all original but bottom piece is soldiered to brass lamp adapter. The clear glass knob is 1 1/4" diameter.
H. 9 cm. The glass bottle with masks on the sides. original silver stopper with spoon, inlaid with coral. Very good condition with nice age wear on the glass.
