A very rare sancai original, three color, glazed Tang duck cup probably used for drinking rice wine. Three colors with some blue cobalt. Tang authentic pottery plate with a sancai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.

A well made Tang dragon handle vase .The vase has two well made dragon handles with a gargoyle type face on the body of the vase with an unusual glaze. Size: H.30cm. W. 17cm.

DESCRIPTION: A fierce pair of Chinese pottery foo dogs, early Qing, 18th/19th C., covered with a heavy green glaze and seated on pedestals. Each bares its teeth ferociously while holding a ball between their front paws as well as in their mouths. Good detail with finely ribbed backs and curled manes. Very good condition. DIMENSIONS: Each approximately 9 ½” high (24 cm) x 5” wide (12.7 cm).

A nicely shaped large Yuan Dynasty incenser in light green celadon glaze with ribbing design to exterior. Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.

A nice stout wine jug with two handles at the wide shoulders. The two handles have deliberate cuts at the tops, probably to tie rope for securing the stopper. The brownish black glaze covers the jar to about 2.5 cm from the bottom.

Condition: A couple of tiny glaze chips at the mouth's rim. The glaze is not degraded and still has a nice gloss.

An original natural pigment pottery figure of a standing court lady wearing a short-sleeved tunic over a robe with long sleeves. Her interesting looped hairdo is parted into two bunches that rest atop the sides of her head. The figure has most of the original pigments, some of which have worn off over the years.Very difficult to find one that has not been restored.
