$2,400.00 A very unusual & original Han well with the "jing" design, symbol for well and two intertwined snakes for the handle. There is some iridescence at the bottom of the base of the green glaze from age. Green glaze was used to make it look like bronze. Size: H. 30.5cm W.16cm.
Condition: Very small repair on the underside of the rim, otherwise in very good condition. See photo.

SOLD Chinese Neolithic tripod earthenware ewer (gui) of the Dawenkou culture (4th-3rd millennium BCE) meant for use in religious ceremonies. The vessel has a flared, upwards pointing mouth with a single ribbed handle on its back, ribbing along the body's edges, and its tripod legs are dramatically tapered to the feet.

This type & size is very rare and were made as tomb figures for wealthy and prominent people during the Ming Dynaasty. The male attendant with greyish-black robe over a cobolt blue and torquoise glazed dress and a round red hat and with black rim. Many nice details. He is standing a tray and a mug or cup in his hands... A fine example of a Song Dynasty bowl with a greenish grey glaze. Item is in good condition without chips or cracks. Diameter: 6 inches.

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Pottery Buddhist Zodiac Jar
This very rare and attractively-shaped pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. The jar has been decorated with four large lotus leaf panels within which are moulded and applied human figures and zodiac animals. The pottery is quite “brittle” and there are minor losses to the vulnerable edges... An xxl superb 64 cm high male attendant carrying a teapot in his arms. The figure is decorated with red, black and white pigmented colors. The glazed areas are held in green and yellow sancai colors. It dates to the Ming Dynasty 1368-1644 AD.

The figure is placed on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint, both in fine Sancai colours - a two-colour green and yellow glazed robe. He wears a high hat. Finely painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures... Chinese yixing teapot from Tek sing cargo shipwreck. 11 cm wide.7 cm body diameter.
