From a large collection of Edo period Nabeshima and Hirado-ware, this intricately crafted vase features two serpentine dragons intertwined across the face of the round porcelain vessel. In addition to the carved dragons, the body displays a painted third dragon, much fiercer than the two in relief. Overall in very good condition, there appear to be fine repairs made to the horns of one dragon.

A rare and unusual long neck bottle with finely potted, the small neck rising to be slight larger mouth rim, decorated with large area of splashes dark red among bluish ground. Acquired from Indonesia archipelago near of Natuna Islands. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th century. Condition is perfect with no any cracks, no any chips and free from any restoration. Height: 24,5 cm.

Antique Chinese brush rest made of black glazed porcelain in the form of a lingbi scholar rock. Sculpted and drilled with holes and windows like a miniature version of the prized lingbi stone. This brush rest has five peaks, creating four areas in which to lay one's brush when it's not in use. Fitted with a carved hardwood base. The flat underside is carved with a six character Qianlong mark.

A finely carved boxwood image of a standing Luohan (Arhat), one of Buddha’s disciples. The figure is shown turned slight to one side while holding a wish-fulfilling scepter (ruyi) in the crook of his right arm. The carving is coated in a deep, transparent reddish lacquer. Qing, 18th cent. H 18.5 cm. With fitted, old Japanese storage box. Condition: Excellent with only one minor age crack caused by the drying wood.

Flowers of the four seasons blossom in a cacophony of color over the entirety of this Kutani vase signed from the pre-eminent Kaburaki (Kaburagi) studio dating from the opening of the 20th century.
