Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Painted Pottery Figure

This painted pottery figure was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). Note the detail to the clothing and head gear. It is quite "heavily-potted" and made from a greyish-brown pottery that has been cold-painted in pigments, traces of which still remain in places.

This rare and sizeable pottery jar was made over two thousand years ago during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8) or possibly as early as the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). Chinese Warring States Impressed Pottery Jar (475 - 221 BC)

This wide pottery jar was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It has been made by the coiling method and is relatively highly-fired. It has a wide flared mouth. The surface has been decorated with repeated geometric impressions.

Diameter 19 cm, height 12 cm. It is in good overall condition with some minor chips to the vulnerable mouth edge but no sign of restoration or repair.

Small Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Kangxi

This small dish was made in the late 17th century during the Kangxi reign (1662 - 1722) of the Qing Dynasty. The attractive underglaze blue decoration features flower blossoms. To the underside are floral scrolls and to the base is a seal mark within double rings.
