Burial gift depicting a servant holding a box. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). H. 19 cm. Good old burial condition, no repairs.
A rare tomb gift from the Song Dynasty, made of red pottery, covered with green, brown and yellow glaze. The crawling position probably shows that this lady is worshipping the deceased person. Length 17 cm, height 12 cm. Condition: the hands restored, glaze loss. Please refer to the pictures.

sold, thank you A set of five sake cups, each engraved with a unique poem by the artist/nun Otagaki Rengetsu dating from her 83rd year enclosed in an antique Sarasa cloth pouch with silk pads between enclosed in an old wooden box. They are each 5 cm (2 inches) diameter and all are in excellent condition. The poems read:

Price on Request A Magnificent and Rare one of the large blue and white dish decorated with flower spray to the center showed with "heaping and peeling" effect and the cavetto incised with a pair of Dragons below classic scroll to the rim. Underside with continuously very beautiful Lotus scrolls. The upper wall with six characters "DA MING XUAN DE NIEN ZHE". Condition is perfect, with no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Ming Dynasty 15th Century Xuande mark and period. Diameter: 39,5 cm.
Small flask or vase in the shape of a double gourd. Thin and fine, whitish stoneware covered in translucent glaze, decorated in overglaze, colored enamels and gold with a cord and tassels and maple leaves floating on a sinewy stream.
Unsigned/unmarked. Kyoto (Kiyomizu) ware. Meiji era, late 19th century, Japan H 6 in. Excellent condition

$380.00 Cotton girl's kimono with auspicious motifs, such as plum blooms, bamboos, pine trees, which are kata Yuzenzome (stencil-resist dye and colored by hand), and hand painted turtles and waves. The ground cloth is benibana (safflower) dye which is very precious. Safflower has been grown in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district. It was sent to Kyoto and dyed there in Edo period, but it went declined in the end of Edo and chemical dye replaced benibana dye later.

sold, thank you An inviting poem for the 8th month is engraved among the leaves and grapes clinging to the vines forming the handle on this tall ewer covered in pale white glaze by Otagaki Rengetsu dating from the 19th century. It is 22 cm (9 inches) tall, 13.5 x 19 cm across the handle and is in excellent condition. The poem reads:
