A unusually elaborate pottery figure of female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming period c. 1550-1650 AD.

The lady wears a challenging dress, baring her shoulders and bosom. She has an imposing hairdress with flowers, and a flirting facial expression. She carries a box for candy(?) in her hand, and is standing on a square plint. She is glazed in lovely dark blue and torqouise.

Painted white all over, blackened teeth as was the custom, red lips, and black hair in distinct, fine brush strokes for affect.
