$1,750.00 A large silk painting of a scene from the history of Japan by Kai Seihyo (1882-1974), one of Japan's noted painters specializing in historical subjects. Kai Seihyo was trained at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. It was later in Seihyo's life where the artist began producing unique historical subjects and received high acclaim where Seihyo was known for his paintings of samurai and horses. Age: 1948-1960, late Showa Era. Size: Length: 47" Width: 28.5"

Sold in our Liverpool Shop - January 2016 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2016年1月 A small carved seated figure of an official made in China during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier. Condition - there are some losses to the wood and there are extensive losses to the old paintwork and gilding. 12cm (4.7 inches) high.

On Hold A richly patinated carved wood figure of a seated drum playing musician. This item was made in Bali, circa 1900-1940, during the first half of the 20th Century. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the head-dress (please view enlargement 11) - no further damage and no repairs. 18cm (7 inches) wide; 32cm (12.5 inches) high.

Sold Six pages (3 double sides) of a Tibetan/Mongolian music manuscript with YANG-YIG GRAPHIC MUSIC NOTATION. Inks on paper. Good condition, finger marks to corners, stain across centre fold, each page 19 x 6 cm cm. Undated estimated to be late 19th century or earlier. In thick double fronted mount.

Price on Request Antique Japanese Bronze Warrior with upraised arm holding a Buddhist Bell Bowl and holding spear in other arm. Gold leaf on raised design. Very fine detail, good condition with small wear to gilt. On hardwood stand, bell taper inside bowl. Bronze figure is 17.5" High, with bowl 24" High, 30" High overall.

Sold, Thank you! A striking Bizen Chawan of mixed clay by young artist Yokoyama Naoki enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The mixed earth is pulled and twisted out of shape; one can sense the plasticity with your eyes. The stretched earth is burnt red where it has been licked by flame, yet remains pale from the shadows of the kiln. The bowl is just less than 5 inches (12 cm) diameter, 3-1/2 inches (8.5 cm) tall and in fine condition.
