Antique Japanese wooden fish jizai, designed for hanging a pot over fire to boil. Has a long iron chain with attached hook running from the tail, through the body, and coming out of the bottom. Very detailed carving showing charring from the fire.

A Ming dynasty blue and white small vase with slightly high shape mouth rim and decorated with continuously flower scrolls to the body. Late Ming 16th/17th century. Condition is good, only found a tiny flake chip to inner mouth rim and tilt mouth rim, otherwise is perfect. Height: 9.3cm.

Ivory satin robe, decorated with butterflies and flowers in various shades of pink, blue, and yellows, black satin detailing with cranes and butterflies, edged in deep blue. Gorgeous deep blue sleeves depict a dragon and phoenix coming into confrontation.
Chinese dragons represent masculinity and darkness while the phoenix (or feng-huang) represents femininity and light. The sleeves have an interior lining of bright green satin.

Charming rustic Japanese antique jizai hook for heating water over a fire, made of keyaki (elm) wood and carved in the shape of a fish, beautiful wood grain with a deep patina from years of use, an iron hook is attached to the tail, a rope or chain would have threaded through a vertical hole from head to mouth, Edo Period (early to mid 19th century). Beautiful antique Chinese robe in deep blue silk with light blue lining, decorated in various pink and blue thread butterflies, fruit, and flowers with forbidden stitching. This is Tsutsugaki used in the Tohoku district. This was dyed with an indigo plant. As for it, dark blue and light blue contrast are fair. The cotton spun by hand has good texture. The local custom, the way of thinking affect the motif of Tsutsugaki. It is a very rare thing to adjust the hanging scroll of the letter to a theme happy. Very fine antique, circa 1820 -1840, hand painted and gilded Chinese export rose mandarin octagonal shaped pitcher with thick enamel.
Decorated with panels of figures, exotic birds, butterflies, flowers etc..

Condition: very good quality with no cracks or restoration except for two chips on the octagonal edge and one on the handle.
