Antique Lao hand woven silk panel (possibly the end of woman’s shaman head scarf). The top depicts mythical elephants, the center shows an ancestral spirit under a roof with nagas erupting from above, below are more spirits and mythical beasts. This has a simple palette only natural dyed black, maroon and gold(ish) hand spun raw silk threads. I acquired this about 35 years ago from a friend who had just returned from Laos, and it was old at the time I got it so an age of 60 to 80 years...
