Rare three legged, green glazed pottery barbeque grill. The Han Dynasty was unique in making replicas for cooking in the afterlife. This piece is in excellent condition with very minor fritting but no damage. The food items on the grill are birds, cicadas and fish. I don’t know if they actually cooked and ate cicadas, but they have always held a powerful symbolism for resurrection, and are still use today in Chinese Traditional medicine.
