A pair of Chinese cloisonne incense burners in the shape of celestial cocks with fishes as their tails. Late 19th to early 20th century. A Japanese bulbous shaped bronze censer on four supports. There is a rectangular, three characters mark on the bottom - "Cast by Suiun". 19th Century. Condition: Nice patina; there are restorations on two locations, please see enlargement #2 and #6 for details. Diameter: Approximately 6-1/2"; height: 3".

A nicely carved jade pendant in the shape of a bamboo surrounded by leaves in two colors. Bamboo is a Chinese symbol for longevity because of its durability, strength, flexibility and resilience. It survives in the harshest conditions. Size: H. 6 cm. W. 4.2 cm. Condition: No repairs.

A pair Chinese silver spill vases made for the Western export or used in the Chinese market as incense stick holders. Decorated with prunus twigs, standing on three splayed feet with original clear glass inserts. Base with maker's mark "WH90", standing for the Wang Hing Company, working in Shanghai and Hong Kong around 1900. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, one insert seems to be a bit too long. Dimension: c. 11.6 cm high, weight of silver: 90 g.

A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. Size: H. 56cm - 54.2cm. W. 36cm - 36cm. Condition: Very good. Some very minor chips and hairline crack on one wing. See photos.

Antique Japanese 2-section kiri isho tansu (clothing chest), made with very light natural color kiri (paulownia) wood with iron hardware. 4 large exterior drawers with a safe box in the lower right hand side. The interior of the safe box has two small drawers and the door has a key. Iron hardware includes warabite shaped drawer pulls and square form lock plates.
