An antique silk collar embroidered with five five-clawed dragons in couched silver-threads, chasing for the flaming pearl, amidst clouds and bats above cresting water in satin stitch. This kimono was made in the late Edo period (1800-1860). Benibana-dye silk is used for the body, and Shikon-dye Shibori silk is used for the sleeves.
