This is an upper child kimono of the Shonai district (Yamagata). It features blue dyeing and beautiful Tutugaki The Yuzen process of the freehand drawing is beautiful, this is thick cotton spun by hand. And crane and tortoises of the freehand drawing run well too. Lining is cotton dyed with rouge made specially in Yamagata. There are four stains of approximately 1cm (figure 1). There are two places extremely thin stain (figure 2). And there is one place of old rectification (figure 3)...

This is shijira Noshime kimono of the samurais with luster dyed with an indigo plant of nature of the Edo era. This has two places of small holes and thin stain This Nosime features deep indigo dyeing with clean luster and Kasuri of transparent blue. In this way, Nosime of the indigo dyeing of Sijira with the luster is rare. This was made in Kyoto and was used in Akita. Size 141cm x 132cm (55.5” x 51.9”)

A fine embroidery depicting a group of chickens. Embroideries, known as shishu in Japanese, were done on various fabrics and clothing. It was only later during the late 19th century that embroideries were appreciated for their artistic quality and were often framed or mounted on scrolls. The embroidery on the back contains an inscription which reads: Present ( or gift) September of the tenth year of Taisho (1921) (Presented by) the Imperial government of Japan...

This is traditional Bugaku- clothes of the Edo era. This is the form that is traditional in silk twill fabrics. It has two extremely small holes. There are no stain and damage. The pattern is Ganryo- dyeing. It can be hardly exhibited at the market. Size 193cm x 186cm (75.9 "x 73.2")

It is indigo dyeing cotton Yogi of the Edo era. It uses technique of the ombre dyeing. It is dyeing of the high technique. It is handspan, handwoven and it is dyed with an indigo plant of nature. It has several places of repair traces. There is not the stain. It is all original in the Edo era. Size 147cm x 126cm(57.8"x49.6")

It is woven with common hemp thread, indigo-silk thread dyed beautifully and a double cotton thread dyed black. It is a very rare textile made in Iwate. The dye of the silk thread is bright blue. However, you can feel that you leave it a little in green. It is Noragi thick beautifully made in the Showa era from the Taisho era. Size 94cm x 116cm (37 "x 45.6")

This is chirimen-silk yuzen-dye and Embroidery yogi kimono in Edo period(1800-1867)Very rare.This yuzen-dye yogi kimono is a museum class.It all is expressed with embroidery and yuzen-dye. It is wonderful beautiful kimono. It does not have a stain. There is a small hole in several places. There is the part which a thread of the embroidery came off. However, it is excellent condition. size:186cm x 156cm(73.6" x 61.4")

It is considered that the sacredness which symbolizes the crop of a rich grape tree is a tree.The tree of the grape has a feeling of a lively motion very much. This is a "yogi", a kind of futon in the shape of kimono made of hand-spun cotton of Edo era (1800-1867). It is stuffed with cotton and has hand-spun cotton lining dyed with vegetable color. It is damage few very good condition.The motif of the tree of this grape is very rare and precious tsutsugaki textile...

Vintage summer hitoe kimono made of a silk and hemp(asa) weave. It has a beautiful print pattern of orange blossoms and paulowni blossoms in blue/green, yellow, and silver. It would have been worn over the juban, the under robe, which would have been white to bring out the colors of the robe. It measures 61" long 51" wide. Showa period, 1950-1970.

It is echigo-jyofu hemp Indigo dye kasuri Child kimono of the Edo era81800-1867). The kimono is very rare, and It is excellent and am delicate, and the technique is very beautiful. Antique Japanese tall banner for Boy's Day celebration, two mon (family crests), scene depicting a noted scene from a noh play called Takasago. The two old couples represent the wish for a couple to be together till the end. The rake represents raking in fortune and the broom for sweeping away misfortune and bad energy. A crane above and an ancient turtle below, both also symbolic of longevity. The banner is painted in mineral pigments on cotton. 190" high x 26 1/2" wide.

This is kanjin-sumoh gyoji tsutsugaki nobori textile of the Edo era. It is very very rare textile. It has a thin stain. However, it does not stand out. It has slight damage. However, it is good condition generally.The sumoh wrestling was an event called sumoh wrestling sechie to which original was done in the court. size:187cm x 41cm (73.6" x 16.1")

This is kanjin-sumo rikishi tsutsugaki nobori textile of the Edo era. It is very very rare textile. It has a thin stain. However, it does not stand out. It has slight damage. However, it is good condition generally. size:190cm x 41cm (74.8" x 16.1")

This is nanbu shikon-dye shibori futon cover at the Meiji era. (1868-1912) It is cotton of nanbu-shikon-dye of iwate Prefecture. It is a shikon of nature dye. It spins by the hand and shibori dye is done by the hand. Very, it is wonderful, beautiful shibori dye. There is neither stain nor damage.It has five small traces of the repair on the back side. However, it is good condition.The change of the color by fading is very beautiful, and it is charming. It recommends it for your collection...

This is Indigo dye cotton mojiri-ori asehajiki textile of the Meiji era. It is a stripe of impressive, beautiful indigo dyeing. It does not have a stain and damage. It is very good condition. size:65cm x 58cm (25.5" x 22.8")

This is Apron textile of the baby shibori & nishiki-ori of the last part of Edo era(1800-1867). It is a very impressive design. It has a thin stain. It has a little snag and part which I rubbed against. The black part is a velvet, and the lining is crimson silk. size:39cm x 37cm (15.3" x 14.5")

It is yuzen-dye silk Child kimono textile of the last part of Edo era(1800-1868). It is the design which is beautiful with a mandarin duck and the beauty of the cherry tree. It has the change of a slight color. However, there is not the stain remarkably. The sleeve has slight damage. However, it is very good condition generally. size:95cm x 83cm (37.4" x 32.6")
