Rectangular fukusa, which is used to ceremonially cover gifts. Taupe colored, finely ribbed silk basis on which the decoration is embroidered by hand in silk and gold thread. On three corners there is a tassel made out of twisted gold-thread.

The image shows two cranes, flying above the rising sun over crashing waves. This is an auspicious New Year’s image of the first sunrise of the year.

On the reverse is a family crest, embroidered by hand in thin, white silk...

Dark green colored, finely ribbed silk basis on which the decoration is embroidered by hand in various colors of silk, silver thread and two shades of gold thread. On three corners there is a tassel made out of twisted silk threads and gold-thread.

Between banks of clouds a central golden cloud (or island) is placed with two origami paper fans, decorated with a flying crane (top) and a minogame (bottom)...

Japanese antique noren (doorway curtain) made of indigo dyed cotton in three panels. The design is executed in traditional tsutsugaki paste resist technique and shows a scene of butterflies and an exuberance of blossoming peonies growing from the rocky ground. Looped tabs at the top of the noren allow for it to be hung by a rod.
