An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu chest made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and Urushi lacquer finish. Four large drawers and two small drawers with an additional two drawers behind the hinged security door. Constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails. Beautiful wood grain with Warabite style handles.

Age: Meiji Period (1880-1890)
