Small jar,perhaps a censer, in embossed copper applied with bronze motifs in relief, held by rivets. The base part is decorated with a band of palms and the upper part with Swastika. These two bands are cold gilded with gold powder which is firmly held probably by lacquer. The patina is excellent and guarantees a very old piece.
Probably Tibet, 19th century or before...

Intricate details on the vajra, especially the "makara" heads from which four prongs are protruding, but also around the center part. He wears a broad crown on his head with flanging tassels. High lotus seat with large, flat, double petals. Tone of gilding very fine. Eastern Tibet, 17th cent.
Sealed.
H 17 cm.
Condition: Very good. Hole in top of hair knot and some rubbing to gold.

She is clearly recognisable by the three and the sow’s head emerging from her hair. She stands in the centre of a halo of flames, in dancing pose with her attributes: a chopper, a blood filled skull cup, and a Tantric staff. On top is depicted the 5th Dalai Lama.
