Antique original Tibetan traveling inscribed metal brush case. Inscribed by hand of floral garden landscape mixed with scholar like objects. Original patina consistent with age. Two loops, one on the lid and the other od the long cylindrical side, provide a place to secure and tie in place. The top and bottom are flare out and brought to a point.

Gilded copper censer. Tibet 19th century or before. Small jar,perhaps a censer, in embossed copper applied with bronze motifs in relief, held by rivets. The base part is decorated with a band of palms and the upper part with Swastika. These two bands are cold gilded with gold powder which is firmly held probably by lacquer. The patina is excellent and guarantees a very old piece. Probably Tibet, 19th century or before...

Statue of Vajradakini, naked, wearing a diadem and jewels, dancing on a lotus, with a "vajra" and a "damaru" in her hands and a "khatvanga" under her right arm. The Vajradakini is backed by a flaming aureola. Bronze, with fine patina and remnants of the original coulouring. The statue was cast in three parts. Tibet, 19th/20th century. Height: 23.3 cm. Very old statue of a household protecting deity, with an enigmatic expression, standing, hands in "namaste" posture. Wood, with dark age patina. Nepal, early 19th century. Height: 36.8 cm. The statue is mounted on a custom stand. Old insect infestation (treated, no danger), otherwise good condition.

Gilt bronze five prong vajra (or dorje), resting on a lotus stand also made of gilt bronze. Intricate details on the vajra, especially the "makara" heads from which four prongs are protruding, but also around the center part. The stand is also finely cast, and shows an incised "four vajra" design beneath. Tibet, late 19th century. Total height: 20.3 cm. Vajra length: 17.8 cm. Stand diameter: 8 cm. Statue of Bodhisattva Manjusri, the Lord of Wisdom, wearing a diadem, jewels and a dhoti, sitting cross-legged on a double lotus throne, his right hand holding the sword that kills ignorance, his left hand holding a lotus on top of which a book is placed. Bronze, with remnants of the original lacquering and gilding. Tibet, late 19th century. Height: 22.5 cm. Very good condition.

An interesting and stylistically unusual, gilt bronze image of the bodhisattva Vajradhara sitting in Dyana-asana with hands in vajrahuṃkara-mudra, holding bell and vajra crossed in front of his chest. He wears a broad crown on his head with flanging tassels. High lotus seat with large, flat, double petals. Tone of gilding very fine. Eastern Tibet, 17th cent. Sealed. H 17 cm. Condition: Very good. Hole in top of hair knot and some rubbing to gold.

Tibetan antique altar table carved with ornate designs. The front legs are carved in the form of of makara and above them are Kirtimukha heads. All around are swirling clouds and scrolling vines. The creatures are decorated with raised pigment, creating a scaled appearance.

In the top of the painting to the left and right sides are the images of Padmasambhava and the bodhisattva Chenrezig respectively. A delicately cast fire gilt image of the Four-armed Avalokitesvara (Tibetan: Chenrezig; Chinese: Sibi Guanyin), the Bodhisattva who embody the Universal Compassion. seated in Dyana-asana on a lotus flower, with Amitabha head on top of the chignon, the upper hands holding a prayer beads and a lotus; the lower ones in worshiping Mudra ( Anjiali Mudra). Unsealed. Eastern Tibet, 17th cent. H 13 cm. Condition: very good, but with some rubbing to gilding, eyes and lips with rest of colours .

This is an extremely rare Bhutanese devotional textile with appliqued symbols and a central "Yin-Yang" medallion within an eight-armed wheel of the law. The piece is in outstanding condition, measuring 47" X 29", not including the fringe. Backed with a patterned trade textile. The piece dates to no later than the first quarter of the 20th century. In over 50 years of collecting, this is only the second one of its type that I have seen on the market. A rare opportunity.

Nepalese antique bronze bracelet with tiny raised deities. The figures are applied upright or laying flat on the surface and surrounded by decorative granulation. Age and handling have worn the likenesses and developed a warm patina.
