This fine pottery figure of a female servant or attendant was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). She wears a long robe and has hands together as though presenting a small vessel or possible foodstuff. Note especially the details of the facial features.

Fine LARGE Chinese Han Dynasty Glazed Pottery Hu Jar

This fine and impressive pottery jar (hu) was made some two thousand years ago during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from a fairly high-fired reddish pottery and is coated in a finely-crackled green glaze covering the outer body and inner mouth, the colour of which varies in places according to its thickness.
