A large 10 inch Chinese celadon porcelain plate beautifully painted in polychrome enamels featuring a bird, insects, butterflies, and flowers. The painting was well executed by an artist who had a good eye for design. In very good antique condition, there is one fine hairline measuring .75" or 1.9 cm. and 1 fleabite. Marked on the back, it dates Daoguang Period (1820-50).

Chinese Blue and White Porcelain covered Paste Ink Box, Ca. late 1700's, 1 3/8" high, 2 1/2" diameter, underglaze dark Blue flower decoration on the grayish white color of body in the center on top of the cover, glaze hairline about 1" to 1 1/2" long but not open hairline underneath the cover inside, some surface scratches on top of the cover in the center area.

Chinese Export "Hatcher" Shipwreck covered Blue and White Porcelain Paste Ink Box, Ca. 17th C., 1 1/8" high include cover, 2 1/8" diameter, underglaze blue Sun Flower design is very detailed under the slightly Celadon Green glaze, the fine brush strokes are very well done. This beautiful Paste Ink box was auctioned as one of the "Hatcher Shipwreck Collection" sale in June 1984 in Amsterdam by Christie's. An authentic large Tang tomb Attendant wearing a typical attendant's outfit with remains of the original pigments. Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a standing lady (often referred to as a “fat lady”), dressed in a long-sleeved, high-waisted, full-length robe. One boat-shaped shoe protrudes from the bottom of the robe. The sleeve of her gown covers her right hand while the left hand is exposed. Rarely encountered Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a court gentleman (often referred to as a “fat man”) wearing a scarf hat and dressed in a long, belted gown with one arm raised, his hand covered by his voluminous sleeve, and the other hand holding the belt. An acrylic stand is included. 14 1/4” high (excluding stand). Circa 7th to 8th century. Very good overall condition with nice detailing. From an Arizona collection. Purchased in Hong Kong in 1996.

A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties.
