18” tall Chinese Republic period Canton enamel on copper vase with trumpet mouth, two flanges on opposing sides of the tall neck, a bulbous mid-section, and flared recessed base. The vase is decorated with two central white ground bird and flower motifs set against a black background densely covered in bright polychrome enamel flowers and scrolling foliage. The base and interior are white. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition with only minor imperfections...

Massive Chinese Qing dynasty baluster form lidded general’s helmet jar decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with a Yuan inspired pond scene of ducks swimming among lotus. A ruyi-head border and four animal mask handles are high on the shoulder below the short neck. A lappet band extends around the tapering foot. The slightly recessed base is unglazed.
