Minor glaze losses and tiny chips. Originally had a horsehair beard. Early 20th century. 22” high. From the Phoenix, Arizona estate of a former expatriate to China from 1983-1987.

An interesting, rare and unusual, Buddhist Dehua image of a meditating Luohan in a cave overgrown with branches, his hands holding a begging bowl. This is a well-known motif of the Ming dynasty. Done with very fine details demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. Hollow modeled. Signed with seal on the back: He Chaozong. Late Qing to early Republican Period, ca. 1900–1930. H 16 cm. Condition: Excellent. Most probably a unique piece and extremely charming!

Covered vase in nuanced ocher jade, decorated in relief with a grinding wheel with Taotie masks. Very good quality of sculpture. The stone is probably fire-patinated to imitate the color of archaic jade as was usually the case in the Ming Dynasty. It is impossible for me to date such an object. It is old, probably from the 18th century but could be earlier. Good condition, except for a few dents on the lid that can be seen on an enlarged photo. Height: 12cm.

A beautifully carved seated Buddha with fine facial features, measuring 3" (7.5cm) in height. The stone is a beautiful celadon color with scattered darker inclusions primarily along the base. Have a look at the photos which form part of the description. A beautiful and delicately carved piece, dating to the late 19th century.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty naturalistic form wood scroll pot carved from a single piece of wood with human figures, a monkey holding the peach of immortality, and other creatures extending around the exterior. It was clearly not designed to hold water as there are openwork areas throughout. The top reveals two separate holders. An inset wood plug is at the base. 19th century. 10 7/8” high x 8 3/4” across at the widest part of the rim (base 7 1/2" across at the widest part); weighs 4 lbs...

A Chinese export plate from the first part of the 18th century, Yongzheng or early Qianlong. Decoration in Famille rose enamels of a large peony in bloom with an orange ribbon and some other scattered flowers, all surrounded by a thin diaper border in matte turquoise. The whole plate with a light greenish tint to the glaze. Brown-glazed rim. Diameter: / 22.8 cm. Condition: a few small spots of glaze wear to the well, otherwise fine.
