Sold Pair Chinese mandarin squares indicating civil rank. The badges embroidered with colored silk and gold thread to a single piece of uncut fabric. Fair to good condition. Total length of the uncut panel 16 1/8 inches (41 cm). Total width 8 1/16 inches (20.48 cm)

Sold Pair kesi badges without rank insignia. With background only, we assume this must either mean it was for a student candidate not yet with rank or perhaps awaiting the addition of rank insignia (if it was appropriate to embroider or stitch onto a kesi badge.) We have included photos of the front and of the back with lining lifted to reveal the kesi technique including varied gold metallic thread. Condition is fair to good...

Sold Description:
A fine and nice tripod censer was applied on the surface with black glaze. It was in decent look by well proportioned body with three supporting feet. The feet was shaped with well-executed skill by apparently a bamboo cutter or some hard tools. 'Cause obvious scraping scars were left at the feet trunks. The scars were also approved by a documented piece.(See last picture.) Some similar pieces are in the documentations...

$235.00 Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Tea Jar or Tea Caddy, later part of 1700's, small size 3 1/4" high, 3 1/4" wide-widest middle part, 1 1/4" diameter-top rim, with underglaze blue large floral decoration between garden rocks, plus Dragon flies flying on the other side. The condition is good, no damage or restoration except firing mark about 1/2" long on the lower part of caddy.

The Amitayus ( Bodhisattva of Longevity ) is seated on double-lotus throne in dhyanasana and with both hands in dhyanamudra. The statue is 17,1 inches high and 7,5kg heavy! Price on Request An interesting square porcelain brush pot with a long inscription of the Chu Shi Biao composed by the 3rd century strategist, Zhuge Liang. The inscription makes the argument that the state of Shu Han must fight against Cao Wei. The calligrapher at the end signs and dates the piece: The 23rd Year of Kangxi, (inscribed by) Wen Fang.
