Fine Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Bowl with Moulded Floral Decoration

This fine porcelain bowl was made in the Southern Song Dynasty (AD1127 - 1279) around the 13th - 14th Century. The inner surface is decorated with a deep and crisp moulded pattern featuring lotus blossoms above which is a key fret band. Save for the unglazed rim, it is coated in a very finely-crackled qingbai glaze of a pale yellowish-green colour.

Featuring a baluster shaped body rising from a slightly splayed foot, tapering to its shoulders onto a long waisted neck with a petalled mouth. Its body is adorned with carved and combed floral patterns and is covered overall in a green-white ‘Qingbai’ glaze stopping short above its foot...

Agata cup of a beautiful yellow and amber color. Decorated in hight relief of Chilong, Lingzhi and Fenghuang (dragon, mushrooms and Phoenix) with highly symbolic value, in fact the male principle chilong and the female fenghuang should signify a marriage, the presence of immortal Lingzhi making the union eternal. The artist used a part of the stone which is different, naturally spotted and cracked to cut the Chilong which is thus subtly spotted like a leopard...

A Chinese famille verte saucer-dish painted with a leaping iron-red horse beside willow and peony within a diaper border, Kangxi period, c. 1700-1720. 22cms diam. Good condition.

A fine Chinese gold-splash two-handled bronze censer, delicately cast, of bombe form, early Qing, 17th/early 18th century, 12cms diam., Xuande six-character mark.
