Right side of a carved wooden architectural panels that were once used in a temple. The panels are carved with a pair of smiling figures set near a tree. The panel may have been placed under the corner eaves of the roof above the pillars. Elaborate carvings became popular during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) various motifs and designs were created often seen in Taoist and Confucian temple architecture. Description:

A limestone stone carving was well performed by sleek cutting edges.
A crouching lion on the top, the stone weight was an original isolated piece as we can believe.
Most of the surface was calcified into grayish white tint.
It was an obvious characteristic for a stone piece what had been stored in a seal-up chamber, maybe under a temple.
The true color of the stone was revealed underside in darken tint...

Description:

A metal alloyed Monk figure was heavily cast.
By well carved flouring lines on the robe, the deity was in serene mood in meditation posture.
It was preserved in very good condition with darken patina, rust surface.

A similar porcelain Ding piece of Song Dynasty can be a counterpart in the last picture.

This very interesting and attractive piece with its splayed footed base, angular shoulder, and trumpet-shaped mouth that resembles opened floral petals when viewed from the interior, was most likely intended as a flower vase itself, but its intended purpose is no more certain than its actual country of origin...
