A painting of a lovely young maiden, she is depicted from the waist up in the nude, her head slightly tilted and eyes looking off to the right. She wears her long black hair up in a low bun gathered at the nape of her neck. She is smiling slightly. Skillfully painted in oil colors on canvas with frame. Signed and dated by the artist. Painted by the well known Chinese-American artist, Chen Danqing, 1984. Size of painting: 24" high x 18" wide. Size in frame: 29" high x 23" wide

Chinese scroll depicting the bodhisattva of compassion Kwan Yin riding the back of a lion. Kwan Yin's hair and tassels flow outwards behind her, suggesting a heavenly wind is blowing. A very rare and large rootwood scholar's rock. China, 19th century. H. 37,5 cm (excluding stand. Condition: Beautiful wear and patina, there is a crack in the upper hanging branch (see pictures) but it has not been broken or restored. This piece comes with a beautiful antique hongmu (redwood) table. Provenance: Dutch private collection.

Antique Chinese framed scroll depicting the bodhisattva of compassion, Quan Yin. She is dressed in long, flowing robes with metal rings, and a crown of the Amitābha Buddha. She holds in her left hand a small jar filled with pure water, and in her right the branch of a willow tree. She stands barefoot on the head of a dragon, with a white parrot carrying long beads in its mouth flying overhead. Her two young acolytes, a girl named Longnü and a boy named Shancai, stand at her sides...

Pair Chinese Hardwood Display Shelves/Stands, Ca early 1900's, 21" high, 31" wide, 7" deep each, very heavy dense Hardwood shelves with rounded corners, for the Scholar's display purpose for their precious small objects. Multiple shelves are between 4" to 10" high and 5" to 19" wide. It is very difficult to find a pair in this quality and condition. The weight is heavy and the condition is good.
