Bronze Ming Dynasty censer in the shape of a Buddha's hand citron, a citrus planet originating from China, named so for its resemblance to hand gestures known as mudra, which Buddha is commonly depicted making. The censer's lid has the shape of leaves and the plant sits on its own vines.

Antique copper letter opener with a Jadeite handle, with traces of gold gilt and overlaid silver hilt. The hilt is a small silver bat, a symbol of good luck. Carved on one side of the knife is a Chinese dragon and sun, on the other side is a phoenix or fenghuang with a long vine of berries and a flower. 19th C bronze Chinese vase featuring elegant lines and a beautiful warm patina. Condition is very good with some surface micro abrasions, interior with scattered dots of patination (see last photo), all of which are consistent with age. Circa 1860-1880. Measures 6 1/8 inches high, 3 1/8 inches across.

Outstanding 18th. Century heavy casting of Buddha, both hands grasping flowers, eyes in serene expression, with incised robes extending towards a double-lotus base. It would appear that this piece may have at one point in time had a mandorla mounted to the backside.
