A black-glazed Jianyang tea bowl was in lovely size. Uniquely and rarely-seen, it was decorated inside the bowl with splashed white mottles. Obvious incursions had happened to the glaze resulting in the earthen and foggy look. That includes the bursting holes of the glaze bubbles. Wiry crackles can be observed too. The darken body clay revealed was in enduring old look and was covering with grayish oxidation... The bases carry the iron red four character reign mark of the Hongxian 'emperor' (1916) but these items were probably made later, during the Republic Period, circa 1917-1949.
