A genuine Guangxu Da Ya Zhai Porcelain Turquoise Bowl (1875-1908) with period markings and a lobed rim. Size: H. 3.5" x 8" top diameter and 3" bottom diameter. Condition: Has a hairline and the rim is broken in one spot which has been glued and a small hole which needs filling (see photographs). Needs a specialist to restore the bowl expertly. Another highlight of our family collection: Rather large Chinese Kinuta Seiji Celadon Vase for Japanese Tea Ceremony. Classical mallet (kinuta) shaped celadon vase in the style of the longquan kilns of the 13th century. The celadon glaze is applied very thickly and the vase may have been glazed and fired more than one time. Some fine aesthetic hairlines complete its beautiful expression.

The execution of the foot rim and the texture of the clay matches the Chinese original...

Framed. The plaque painted with various birds perched and flying among flowering prunus, with inscription and two seals. The plaque approx. 19 1/4 by 6 1/8 in., 49 by 15.7 cm. No imperfections noted.

Large Qing dynasty slightly tapered cylindrical form white porcelain brush pot (bitong) with a central cobalt blue band holding bats flying among clouds. The white porcelain has a faint blue-green-gray tint. 19th century. 6 1/2” high x 8” diameter. Very good overall condition with a few old browned hairlines on the base which appear to have resulted when a drain hole was added...

A late Ming dynasty 17th century vase, Wanli period with rounded body and with slight broad mouth rim, decorated with white slip of crane in flight among cloud scrolls on cobalt-blue ground. Possibly Wanli period. Condition with a chip to inner rim with associated hairline visible on the last enlargement, otherwise is in very good condition. Height: 23 cm.

Large late Ming dynasty Wanli period blue and white kraak ware export porcelain deep charger with a foliated rim decorated in the center within an eight-pointed medallion with a jardinière on a stand holding a fruit, peony, and plantain leaf bouquet with a fence in the background. The central design is encircled by a moulded eight panel border on the cavetto with stylized peach branches alternating with Daoist symbols. The back is decorated with eight panels holding lingzhi within a circle...

Chinese porcelain figure of Zhongli Quan, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. His attribute is a fan which is said to bring the dead back to life and turn stone into gold or silver. He wears an open robe with gilt accenting, and comes with a fitted hand carved hardwood stand. Republic Period (circa 1930's). Size: 11" H, 5" W

Chinese porcelain figure of Li Tieguai, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. He is temperamental but compassionate towards the sick and needy, who he heals using special medicine from the gourd he carries around his waist. Chinese porcelain figure of Lan Caihe, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. Lan is usually depicted carrying a bamboo flower basket as seen here. Lan's gender is always shown in an androgynous manner. The figure's earholes, nostrils, and mouth are pierced through. The bright enamel robes are accented in gilt pigment.
