A striking late 19th Century Chinese Blue & White bulbous lidded Jar. One side has centering underglaze blue shaped rockwork issuing auspicious blossoming stems. Surmounted by a conforming original lid enclosing 3 stylized spread winged bats and a bud form finial. Comes with a nice hardwood Chinese stand. Good condition overall with normal wear. This is a rare large chinese porcelain Guanyin statue dating to the Qing Dynasty. The statue is sitting on a lotus base, right hand putting on the front of the chest, left hand holding a bottle. The face expression looks very serious and sincerely. Great item.

A pair of lobed saucer plates or bowls with decoration in Imari colours and traces of gilt, of a gentleman and a lady in a garden. China, Kangxi period, early 18th century. Diameter "4½/ 11,7 cm. Condition: minimal rim frits, esp. to the foot rim of one plate (cf pics).

Porcelain cup with curved sides, with a hand painted blue decor on a white background representing a landscape showing on the left side a rocky lakeshore with two old men sitting under a gnarled tree, and the right side a fisherman rowing on a boat. Above the scenery, a four line inscription. Two character mark beneath. The rim is protected by a bronze circle, but this is not meant to hide any blemish. China, Qing Dynasty. Height: 3,3 cm. A genuine Guangxu Da Ya Zhai Porcelain Turquoise Bowl (1875-1908) with period markings and a lobed rim. Size: H. 3.5" x 8" top diameter and 3" bottom diameter. Condition: Has a hairline and the rim is broken in one spot which has been glued and a small hole which needs filling (see photographs). Needs a specialist to restore the bowl expertly. Another highlight of our family collection: Rather large Chinese Kinuta Seiji Celadon Vase for Japanese Tea Ceremony. Classical mallet (kinuta) shaped celadon vase in the style of the longquan kilns of the 13th century. The celadon glaze is applied very thickly and the vase may have been glazed and fired more than one time. Some fine aesthetic hairlines complete its beautiful expression.

The execution of the foot rim and the texture of the clay matches the Chinese original...

Framed. The plaque painted with various birds perched and flying among flowering prunus, with inscription and two seals. The plaque approx. 19 1/4 by 6 1/8 in., 49 by 15.7 cm. No imperfections noted.

Large Qing dynasty slightly tapered cylindrical form white porcelain brush pot (bitong) with a central cobalt blue band holding bats flying among clouds. The white porcelain has a faint blue-green-gray tint. 19th century. 6 1/2” high x 8” diameter. Very good overall condition with a few old browned hairlines on the base which appear to have resulted when a drain hole was added...
