Rare three legged, green glazed pottery barbeque grill. The Han Dynasty was unique in making replicas for cooking in the afterlife. This piece is in excellent condition with very minor fritting but no damage. The food items on the grill are birds, cicadas and fish. I don’t know if they actually cooked and ate cicadas, but they have always held a powerful symbolism for resurrection, and are still use today in Chinese Traditional medicine. L: 18.5cm/7.2in, W: 10cm/4.1i and H: 7.5cm/3in.

Elegant image of Tang Dyansty noble woman or lady-in-waiting. Good condition, one minor crack on the back. She is standing in relaxed natural pose, with a sweet face and complicated to coiled double chignon. H: 27cm/10.6in.
Fine Chinese Sui / Tang Dynasty Glazed Pottery Figure
This very nicely-detailed pottery figure was made during the Sui Dynasty (AD 581 - 906), or possible the early part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a relatively highly-fired creamy-white pottery that has been coated in an attractive pale, slightly greenish, yellow glaze that is very finely-crackled. There are also traces of the original "cold painted" red and black pigments in places...
Tang Dynasty buff colored, with traces of original pigments pottery statue in the image of a Zhenmushou “earth spirits”. These are increasingly difficult to find these days. The horn has been repaired and there is a repaired surface chip on the back. H: 33cm/13in and W: 10.5/4.1.
