The centre of of the dish has a depiction of a gated pavilion set in a fabulous garden. Arita 1750 ~ 1770. An attractive mokko (lobed) and moulded dish decorated with a figure seated beneath mist enshrouded trees. The cavetto is moulded with swirls and flowers, the rim with a dark iron rich kuchibeni dressing.

Approximately 22.5 cm wide. Fine original undamaged condition.

Antique Ainu robe, Hokkaido Area, Japan. Created by the indigenous people of northern Japan. Made of indigo dyed cotton and embroidered with traditional Ainu designs. A brush pot was made from the hard-quality and very rare Huangyoungmu's root wood.
In intriguing and natural shape, the brush pot was preserved preciously by generations and have obtained the charming honey-brown patina that the ancient wood piece would only get.
It was in perfect condition.

A Huanghuali wood scholar stand was built in a very fine look.
In simple and plain form, the wood stand was preserved with enduring old patina that darken to be nearing as a Zitan piece.
Whatsoever, under close inspection, the characteristics of the rare Huanghuali wood grains and the ghost-eye-like knarl marks were obviously found.
The Huanghuali piece was structured by traditional craftsmanship of tenoned skill without using any metal nails.
