Chinese cabinet, lacquered all over and inlaid with scenes of beautiful ladies and children in a pavilion garden setting, the sides of the cabinet are also lacquered and inlaid with scenes of birds and flowers, interior has three shelves - the middle shelf has is two drawers built in, the front of the drawers are also decorated to match the front with beautiful lacquer work of scrolling flowers, 19th century. Antique Chinese figure of Quan Yin. Revered as the goddess of mercy and compassion she stands holding a strand of prayer beads in her hands. Her sweeping robes are decorated with scrolling details and her hair is arranged on top of her head. Also considered the goddess of beauty, her name in Sanskrit is Padma-pani (Born of the Lotus). In Japan, she is called Kannon. This figure is carved of wood and lacquered a deep red.

Antique Chinese ruyi scepter carved of boxwood in a naturalistic representation of a lingzhi mushroom. Long and elegantly curved with smaller lingzhi sprouting from it's stem. Beautifully carved with great attention to detail and form. Ruyi scepters were used in Chinese Buddhist ceremonies and as symbols of good fortune, luxury and power.
