A modernist form in white decorated with a simple zen circle by Yoshikawa Masamichi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled simply Utsuwa (vessel) and dating circa 1985. This is an Extremely Rare example of a wood netsuke excellently carved by Yoshinaga, as signed on a border, on the bottom of this superb miniature sculpture, depicting a Wood Gatherer who has taken a rest from his daily journey by sitting on top of a rock.
