An extraordinary, wooden figure of a tiger with a very long tail, sitting on a rockwork. It has an almost humanized facial expression and the mouth corners are showing small canines. It is painted with green and different brown pigments. Dating to the Joseon dynasty. Condition: partially lost or agglomerated coloring, some pigment fissures, few small cracks, one fang is worn. Dimension: total height: 35 cm x c. 15 cm x 17 cm.

This small wood box contains a folding top panel on which is mounted a mirror, and a drawer for holding personal items. The box is constructed using pawlonia (kiri) wood on all sides with hardwood and pawlonia panels on the top. The box measures about 10" long x 7 3/4" wide x 5 1/4" high, and dates to the 19th Century. The condition is good. There is a small repair to one corner of the drawer. Antique Korean single section cabinet made with elm wood and hardwood burl panels. Hardware is made of brass. Beautiful rich patina. The upper portion has four small drawers in a horizontal row along the very top. The body of the chest is mostly made up of two large compartments opened by hinged doors.

Antique Korean two section stacking personal chest with base. The front is made with hardwood burl (probably mulberry). Each section has a large compartment opened by two hinged doors. Silver colored hardware is made of chased brass.

Traditional Korean pillow made of wood and embroideries with the idiom of Chinese character which stands for "Peacefulness". Mid 20th century. approx. 23 x 12 x 9cm (9.05 x 4.72 x 3.54in). Fine original vintage condition overall as is, but partially repaired and attached with a white pillow slip in the later years.

Korean Joseon Dynasty 19th Century Polychrome Painted Wooden Oil Lamp Stand with attached original cut out Tin type gallery rim Metal top to hold the 19th Century White Porcelain Oil Pot, 7 1/2" high, 4" wide for Hexagonal shape Base, this is the Korean Shamanistic style Polychrome painted Oil Lamp. The condition is as found condition, White Porcelain top of oil pot has hairline on the side, some Polychrome paints are rubbed off and Tin Top is somewhat rusted inside the cut out gallery rim.

A 19th Century Korean kitchen jar for the storage of honey or syrup. The jar has a thick brown glaze, that thins at the edges of the cut facets, showing the lighter porcelain body of the jar. The Jar is heavily potted and measures about 4 1/2" high x 5" in diameter. The condition is very good with small chips on the inner rim and firing cracks at the bottom. There is no lid.
