Chinese Wooden Grain Measuring Bucket, 11" high, 7 1/4" square-top, 14" square-bottom, with heavy black iron mounted frame with multiple studded iron nails, the heavy iron frame covers around the top rim, underneath 2 sides with attached wooden handles. Bottom area of black iron mounted frame is somewhat rusted and damaged with age, and some age cracks on wood.

Low relief lacquer decoration on both sides. The condition is good, one small area about 1" long old separation in the natural Kiri wood.

An unusual Japanese Awaji vase hand thrown with applied floral pieces. Though designed for ikebana, the basic bottle point form and the beautiful glaze makes this vase a very striking piece that could be displayed as an art object. A very lovely natural green Burmese jadite necklace, all stones were selected to match, none were dyed. The clasp is marked 'silver' and by the art deco design of it we date the piece to the 1920 - 1930's. The necklace measures 24" and consists of three strands. This is a nice weighty but very comfortable necklace, highly stylish and elegant, a real crowd pleaser.
