Sold, Thank You! A lovely Shino tea bowl fashioned from coarse Mino clay and covered in a crackled feldspar glazing. The front of the bowl is decorated with paintings of abstract foliage—possibly the lilting leaves of a willow tree—and the base of the bowl is unglazed, displaying rough clay. The paintings, which are applied using a ferrous glaze, along with the han-zutsu shape (half cylinder) are very typical of this type of Shino-ware. Dimensions: 32,5 x 25 cm. Condition: one dish with a very small chip, the other dish with a 1 cm chip at the lower rim.
Of oval shape with lovely feet in the shape of leaves (lotus ?). The inside richly decorated with panels with trmple gardens, flowers and butterflies. Originally this bowl was part of a large dinner service, commisioned by the Dutch East-India Company. Dimensions: 31x24x8 cm. Condition: one chip of 1x0,5 cm, otherwise perfect.
Magnificent tureen decorated with floral patterns. The handlles in the shape of gilded lion masks. The lid crowned by a gilded Foo dog. Dimensions: 34x22x26 cm. Condition: a 7 cm hairline in the bowl, otherwise perfect.
Four(4) Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Plates, Qianlong period 1736-1795, 9" diameter, 1 1/8" high, underglaze blue decoration of landscape design inside Fan in the center within four(4) sets of floral decoration, and sprays of floral and fan shape design spread out on the outer border with thin brown color rim. One(1) chip size of 1/4" x 1/8" under the rim, small bruise on the one of the plate, several frits on the bottom rim.

One(1) hairline about 2" long glaze hairline at 3 o'clock position, it is tight and not open hairline. This charger will make nice set with #1349149.

The light, little coarse clay with enclosures is expertly thrown and full glazed - including the foot - with a transparent glaze of wood ash with some feldspar. Sold, Thank You! This generously proportioned chawan (13.5cm in diameter) shows nice age, especially around the kodai, and likely dates from early Edo (several hundred years old). The base is unglazed showing the molded clay, contrasting nicely with the jet black glaze which displays a slight purplish hue when held to the light. The soft sheen of the Raku glaze overlying rippled and shaved clay gives this bowl a distinct presence.
