Ebisu is a diety of fishery which brings plentiful catch and Daikoku is a diety of agriculture which brings good harvest. Both are in excellent condition with an original wood box. 20th century. Tani Seiuemon Shigaraki Tea Bowl (Chawan) Wood fired Natural Ash Stoneware Glazed Studio Pottery

Born in Shigaraki in 1913, Tani Seiuemon was the key person to revive old Ko-Shigaraki and Ko-Iga styles with natural ash glaze effects.
Tani Seiuemon works are exhibited in British museum and Cleveland Museum of Art.
Currently, his son Tani Q operates the family kiln in Shigarakicho.
