A twin-handled bronze censer. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931. A blue and white Chinese export porcelain pot de crème or syllabub cup, Qianlong c 1760-70, with diaper borders and flowers in under-glaze blue. Height including lid "3/ 7,5 cm. Condition: some crackling to the glaze.

A Chinese dish, enameled in Imari colours and gold with a fenced garden, peony and the auspicious pak choy plant. First decades of Qianlong (1736-95) or earlier. Diameter "9/ 22,5 cm and height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: glaze wear, hairline and rim frits, star crack to the back (cf. pictures).

Ayutthaya period Bronze Buddha, Siam, mounted, most likely survived the destruction of this ancient Thai capital by the Burmese in 1767, with some parts of the bronze statue partially melted (see photographs). A very finely carved oval-shaped white jade falconer's plaque depicting a five-clawed dragon amongst scrolling foliage. This item was probably made in China in the 18th Century during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795). Condition - very good - there are two chips to the reverse side (please see enlargement 2), no further damages or losses. 9.5cm (3.75ins) long; 5.3cm (2.1ins) wide.

An export blue and white plate decorated with a bird and floral patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722). Marked with an Artemisia leaf. Diameter 27 cm. The silver handle was added in 1854 by the wellknown Dutch silversmith J.M. van Kempen in Utrecht(later in Voorschoten). Wonderful and complete sculpture of Padmavati, a Hindu goddess who is worshipped as an aspect of the goddess Lakshmi, but who also plays an important role in Jainisme as the protecting goddess of the 23rd Tirthankara. Exceptionally fine and well cast bronze 18th Century Ganesha sculpture from Southern India with many details and a wonderful natural patina, clearly showing Puja (long term worship of object). Circa 1750. A very beautiful and petite vegetable tureen. This is just gorgeous, with bright colors and well painted florals, all of which is beautifully intact. The only damage is the one handle has been re-stuck.
