This attractively-shaped pottery jar was made during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220) and comes from Shaanxi province in the northwest of China. Yue-zhou-yao"越州窯”is well known as the oldest kiln to produce celadon works. This piece is very rare because of iron speckles and almost perfect condition though it has repaired crack at the bottom.
