These oriental candlesticks are highly decorative and would set off that perfect rustic atmosphere. They measure 9 inches each.
Beautiful pair of white and green Peking glass vases from circa 1900. Peking glass is chinese overlay glass that has been carved. Traditional Chinese water scene with ducks, swooping birds, and lotus flowers in green on white ground. Measures 10" high 3" diameter at base. Previously used as a pair of lamps. Late 19th/ early 20th century.

Sold. A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, page 197 - No. 13.018 very similar badge. Condition: fine, minimal traces of wear. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 31.6 cm wide.

SOLD Antique Chinese scroll painting of 5 large carp swimming in pond with lotus and other water plants. Painted in ink and light colors on paper. Artist signature and seal by Li Fang Yin (1696–1755), known as one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. Inscription reads "Qianlong 8th Year, third month, Li, Fangying of Qingjiang".

There is a late Shang dynasty bronze You of similar form, described as a Xiao You (Owl You) in the collection of Shanxi Museum, Shanxi Province. This item was exhibited in the Royal Academy, 1973, and can be seen on page 72 of "The Genius of China" (ISBN 0 7230 0107 3). We have, as yet, been unable to date our jade and can only suggest that it was probably made circa 1500 - 1900 during either the late Ming or Qin...
