The circular dish made of fine milky white porcelain decorated in overglaze enamels as iron-red, blue, green, yellow, black and gold. The well painted with a prunus tree, coiled dragon and ho-o bird. The reverse with scrolls. Condition: fine, the green enamel with partial spalling. Dimension: diameter: 20.9 cm.

This is Tsutsugaki firefighter coat of Edo era (1800-1860). This is cotton Hanten spun by hand of thick indigo dyeing. It is a design very impressive beautifully. Like F1 ~ F5, this has the part that some indigo blue changed. Both cuffs have damage such as F6. 108cm x 123cm (42.5 "x 48.4")

Straits Chinese silver hallmarked adjustable mesh belt with a three-part buckle decorated in low relief with a fish among flowers. The back of the buckle contains two hallmarks with Chinese characters (see enlargement 4). 19th century. High grade silver weighing about 8 oz. Measures 34" long from end to end. A four drawer lacquered gyosho tansu. The tansu has metal work advertising the medicine the peddling merchant was selling. The medicine, soge-nuki kusuri (written on the box) aids in removing splinters. The medicine was made by Shiota Nadaya Juzaemon who was based near Takabashi, Shinbashi in Osaka city. A cute dog Fushimi doll. The dog has an interesting collar possibly in the form of a fabric collar, often seen with domesticated animals portrayed in Japanese paintings. Mounted Chinese painting of goldfishes swimming among lotuses attributing to the Taiwanese artist Ou Hao Nian (1935~). The view appears as if it was a view of the lotus pond during the rain. The painting contains a signature and seal of the artist. Age: Late 20th century Size: length 42.25" height 23.25"

A Chinese hanging scroll depicting a pair of golden pheasant like birds flying above a group of flowers including peonies and orchids. The work contains the signature of Yu Xing. The work was done possibly around the mid 20th century or later. Age: 20th century Size: 78" long 28" wide

Beautiful Japanese silk kimono decorated with lovely understated design of flowers in a paste resist technique, painted details in gold, some use of gold thread, peach colored silk, Showa Period. Size: 61" long x 51" wide (cuff to cuff)

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period famille rose porcelain bowl, covered on the exterior in a dense mille fleurs pattern set against a gold background. The base holds an apocryphal six-character iron red “Great Qing Qianlong Year Made” mark. Late 19th century. 4 7/8” diameter x 2 1/4” high. Very good overall condition with no chips or cracks. There is some wear to the overglaze gilt background. This bowl is from a Tucson, Arizona collection.

This is a very special Japanese cloisonne bowl. It was made by Ogasawara Shuzo. Shuzo's ability to capture a life-like quality make his pieces with fish some of the finest ever created in the Meiji Era. The bowls is in excellent condition. It measures 7 inches across and is 3 1/2 inches tall.

An intricately hand carved Chinese zitan or similar dark hardwood lid for a jar. There is an insurance number written on the inside of the lid, see last photo. In excellent condition, it measures approximately 2 inches (5.1 cm) high, 3"(7.6 cm) across at base, opening about 1.75" (4.4 cm). Dates 1800s

A scholar's drum shaped porcelain water pot for calligraphy which doubles as a scroll or paper weight when not in use. The top is decorated with a depiction of the sun and there is a line of tiny raised dots around the top and bottom representing drum nail heads. In good antique condition with a few nicks around top inner edge and expected amount of wear to raised areas. Measures 3.25" diameter x 1.5". Circa 1700's

Pair kesi badges without rank insignia. With background only, we assume this must either mean it was for a student candidate not yet with rank or perhaps awaiting the addition of rank insignia (if it was appropriate to embroider or stitch onto a kesi badge.)
