Chinese glove puppet depicting a man with bright opera face paint and long beard that appears to be horse hair dressed in a heavily sequined pale yellow robe with red fur accents. The legs are covered in red and white checkered trousers. Painted wood face, shoes, and hands. Measures about 18" long. Possibly dates from the early 20th century. A very rare antique Buddhist miniature knife/dagger with a bronze gilt figure as handle, 19th Century, Thai or Burmese. The sheath is hand carved wood and has script on both sides. The small steel blade also has writing engraved on both sides. Size: length of knife including handle 5" or 13 cm. Very good condition. Something for collectors as rare!

Japanese Seto Earthenware Blue and White Tokkuri, small Sake Bottle, 3 1/2" high, 5/8" diameter-top rim, 1 3/4" diameter-bottom rim, transparant Celadon thick glaze over underglaze Blue and White decoration of trees and plants, unglazed bottom with bombed pattern, small flake chip on the bottom.

Three(3) Chinese Sancai Monochrome soft Pottery Offering Miniatures, consist of rice cakes, dates or some sort of fruits and duck on top of dish, approximately 2 1/2" wide each, some small chips on the rims.

Japanese Red Lacquer Double Face Ojime, Ca. 1920, 3/4" high, 5/8" wide, 1/2" deep, one side normal pleasant face, the other side is angry yelling face with mouth open, the condition is good.

Japanese Brown Cafe au Lait color Lacquer nut shape Ojime, 11/16" high, 11/16" wide, 1/2" deep, hollow inside with large holes on the top and the bottom to tightening to connect to Netsuke. The condition is good.

A jewel-like miniature ‘Imperial’ Satsuma vase, of baluster form with elephant head handles. One side is decorated with flowering lotus, the other with a gourd vine. The base has the signature Hogetsu beneath a blue Shimizu mon.

Approximately 9.7cm high. Perfect condition. Remarkably fresh looking with no wear to the enamels.

Chinese Warring States Bronze Axe Head

This bronze axe head dates approximately to the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). Inside are remains of its wooden shaft. Length 16 cm (6.25 inches). Unfortunately it has been broken in two and re-stuck.

For information: this axe head is part of a modest yet very interesting private English collection of Chinese antiquities acquired during the 1990s that we recently acquired.

Vietnamese 16th Century Green Glazed Bowl

This rare bowl was made during the 16th century. Apart from the unglazed stacking ring and base it is coated in an apple-green glaze, the depth of colour of which varies according to its thickness. There are small areas around the inner wall where the glaze has not covered but this appears to be unintentional.

Diameter 16 cm. Although not immediately obvious, a section of the wall has been broken out and re-stuck.

Chinese carved Wood Rice Cake Mold, early 1900's, 9 1/2" high, 3 1/2" wide, 2" deep, deep hand carving of Long Life and Happiness Chinese Characters, with nice dark brown natural wood shape, and old polished finish. Brass hook on top for hanging on the wall for decoration. The condition is good.

Japanese Heavy Weight Ceramic Serving Charger, or Platter, 13" diameter, 2 1/4" high, dark brown almost black color with large Kanji "Long Life", written on the entire surface. "Made in Japan" paper sticker is placed on the bottom.

Three(3) Chinese Cabbage Design Jar Top, or Cover for Urn or Vase, 3 3/4" diameter-outer maximum measurement, 3 1/8" diameter-inner rim( your jar opening must be larger than 3 1/8" diameter), 2" high, the condition is good.

Tibetan Himalayan Copper and Brass with Bamboo Handle Prayer Wheel supported by round Shell disc, 15" high, 3" wide, script paper inside the drum. Purchased in Lhasa 1990, kept in the private collection in US since that time. The condition is good.
